Using radio technology, visual sightings, and other open sources, the Aviation Tracker provides expanded information on the movement of aircraft to, from and within North Korea.

Based on historical data going back to 2009, our flight records comes from a unique combination of three sources aggregated in a way not used anywhere else.

Some examples of how you can use the tracker:

The Aviation Tracker

The Aviation Tracker tracks commercial flights to, from, and within North Korea.

The world’s only North Korea-specific tool for observing flights going into and out of the DPRK.

Track commercial flights to, from, and within North Korea.

The Aviation Tracker is designed to help you measure the North’s economic activities--especially the transportation of sanctioned materials--as well as understand shifting trends in tourism, and visualize North Korea’s diplomatic relations.

Using radio technology, visual sightings and other open sources, the NK Pro Aviation Tracker provides comprehensive information on the movement of aircraft to, from and within North Korea. Based on historical data going back to 1970, our flight data comes from a unique combination of three sources aggregated in a way not used anywhere else.

The NK PRO Aviation Tracker tracks commercial flights to, from, and within North Korea.

Every airport that an Air Koryo jet has ever flown to in the past ten years – including historical flight data – is included in the visualization.

THREE DATA SOURCES

Our Aviation Tracker unifies data from three different sources to give the most comprehensive view of DPRK flight data.

AIR KORYO FLEET DIRECTORY

Air Koryo's full fleet is included in the app, including tail number information, sighting history, and build dates.

The NK PRO Aviation Tracker

With aircraft movements providing insight into key vectors through which people and cargo connected to North Korea flow, the Aviation Tracker provides primary source data which can facilitate a wide range of research efforts.

Furthermore, given the UN Security Council's decision that North Korea should not be allowed to import jet fuel, flight frequency data can also help users understand the seasonal impact of sanctions.
